SAN FRANNY ADVENTURES!

1 month and 3 days ago (FEBRUARY 28th) we loaded the airways and made our travel to San Francisco. The WE consisted of my dear mommy, both of my grandmas, and my two sisters. It was such a fun girls trip and sadly our first girls trip with just immediate family.
We flew in to California on Thursday afternoon. When we got there we trudged up the mountain (or road) with all of our luggage until we saw the MARRIOTT sign and knew the sweat would soon stop running down our faces! After we freshened up a bit we headed out into the city for shopping, food, and fun! That night we went to WICKED! I truly loved it so much that I was crying at the end! It was awesome!
Friday we did a lot of shopping, sight seeing, eating, and shopping. Saturday we did the exact same. Really, that is what we did the entire time and it was SO fun! The last time I went to San Fran I was like 12 and I do NOT remember it being a mini New York! I absolutely loved the whole city atmosphere as well as being down at the wharf. It was a trip that we for sure need to do again, again, and again! You up for that ladies? Thanks mom for putting this all together for us! And thank you DAD for making it happen! ;)
(be prepared for many many pictures!)

Waiting at the airport to board the plane...

The grannies...

The young bucks...

Transportation TO downtown SF. (Subway, Bus)

First impression...We were so angry with these people blocking the road because the trolleys weren't running. That meant that my poor grandma had to hike all the way of to our hotel! GRRR!

 Getting to the hotel...

WICKED!

CHINA TOWN

I paid 50 cents to take this picture so please look long and hard. Maybe even use it for your background. This was at the fortune cookie factory.

Friday was a rainy day so we bought umbrellas from china town for like 3 bucks. Well, we know WHY they were 3 bucks. We ended up making a joke out of it say that the umbrella that doesn't break wins. No one won...I thought I had a picture of Kaydee...hers was murked!

GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE

After we got our look at the bridge, we were ready to head back but that didn't happen! A bus did not come for the longest time. We waited a good 1 1/2-2 hours! Since it was pretty chilly we were doing lunges, squats, and anything we could think of to keep us warm. And anything is right, one of the guys waiting taught us a little somethin' somethin'. I may have pulled a muscle or two!

FISHERMAN'S WHARF

CHINESE NEW YEAR PARADE
Now this was an experience. I won't even go there, but let me just say I have never been so excited to escape a parade before. And grandmas oh how I am proud of you for taking that first move! It was a great sight watching Pooper hurry as fast as her little legs could carry her as the cop was debating rather or not to let her off! Good work ladies!

We ended that night with ice cream Sundays. The place that we went to had long steep stares which isn't good for grandmas. So instead they took the TINY elderly/handicap only elevator. It was probably the funniest thing ever. The elevator was the size of....a linen closet.
I'm VERY lucky to be blessed with such fun awesome grandmas and I LOVE that they are best friends!

And just a few more pictures of random things...
The best picture for last, Pooper's souvenir.

A little Bit of This and a Little Bit of That

SPRING has SPRUNG! (Or has it?)
SPRING has it's perks. Of course we LOVE the warm weather. The bad, or should I say MEAN, thing about SPRING is that it is such a tease! A week ago we were loving the sunny warm weather and also the fact that the snow has pretty much melted! Today however, it has been snowing ALL DAY! See why SPRING is such a gosh darn tease? Good things I didn't pack up my UGGS yet...
Well, during that peak of SPRING that we did have I took Nixon on a walk. A LONG walk! We left for two hours and came home when the sun was going down. I even had to stop to hit up that bathroom at Logan High School. (That's just what walking does to me!) Anyways- We LOVED being outside and I can't wait for the weather to change permanently so we can enjoy it everyday! I have the worst SPRING fever possible!

ST. PATTY'S DAY-
I am a big tradition person, and I want to make fun traditions for every little and big holiday. So I was in a rut....do I start those fun traditions Nixon's first ST. PATTY'S DAY or wait until he is a little older and can enjoy these things? Well because of the fact I was at practicum all day I didn't really do much of anything for my baby besides have him in a green shirt and take a picture. :( So here's to next year and a FUN ST. PATTY'S DAY

GEMMA and NIXON

A little while ago we got to watch our neighbor GEMMA who is 2 months older than NIXON. We had a lot of fun having her over to our house. The two of them played together really cute! I was hoping her walking would intrigue NIXON and really make him interested....nope. It didn't. Lyndi- We would love to watch GEMMA again anytime!

Party With Our Cousins

Conner and I really LOVE to spend some of our weekends staying at Tyler and Karlee's. Well, even though we are excited for them we are also very bummed they are moving to Indiana. Hopefully sometime in the future we will end up close to each other!
During the weekend (March 13 & 14)  we spent our last weekend with them before the moved. First we went out to dinner with Randy, Casey, Hannah, Tyler, Karlee, and some of their friends on Saturday night. Saturday and Sunday we did none other but play the ever so famous SETTLERS. We had the whole family in a tournament both days and guess who the winner was each time....CONNER!
During this time Lauren (Conner's little sister) was in Utah so she stayed the night Saturday and flew out Sunday morning. Even though it was only a short time we loved seeing her. BUT- She totally fell asleep during the game playing!!! She must have been one tired girl!
Anyways, We are going to REALLY miss you guys, Tyler-Karlee-Boston-Statton- and Berkley! Can't wait to see you guys again!

Domestic He Bee!!

Nixon is becoming to be quite the "BUSY BEE". He is always going here and going there. It is fun to see how curious he has become. Conner and I were laughing about how he has a little cycle he does when he is playing in our bedroom. First he sees the TV extension cord behind the entertainment stand, so he plays with that. (Don't worry it is safe!). Then the cable cords catch his eye...(They are still visible because of how our dumb outlets are set up...kinda sucks but at least they are on the side of the bed no one sees...sorry I have to give an explanation so you don't think we have cords everywhere!) When he gets over to that and tugs on it for a bit he soon notices Conner's phone charging on the side of the bed. So off he goes to try to get that. Then he makes it back to the center of the room, plays with his toys, goes over to the window, stands up and watches the cars. Last he notices the vent and plays with that for a bit. Then the cycle continues...continues...and continues. He kind of reminds me of Dory from Finding Nemo. If only I knew what he was thinking. "Oh wow look at the cord, COOL! There is my Daddy's phone, Wow, I can see out the window." Then again, "Oh wow look at the cord, COOL! There is my Daddy's phone,...." Oh the poor kid!

Playin' with the gate...

I love my sleepin' boy! He looks so cute and his sleeping positions crack me up!

I walked in to get him from his nap and found him like this. He messes with those bumper pads too much, but now he decided to use it as a blanket!

The reason for my title of DOMESTIC He Bee, is because not only is he a busy BEE but he is also very domestic, or at least tries to be. Today he helped me make cookies. He loved looking in the oven keeping an eye on them to make sure Mommy didn't burn the cookies. Everywhere we go he is sure to follow. When I got into the laundry room he is right there by me. Sometimes I have to be careful I don't shut the door to the machines because I'd squish his little fingers off.

Nixon is super weird about what he eats. I know 'they' say at his age babies can starting eating most of what you eat. Well..not him. Anything he give him he just gags. I gave him a banana a while ago and he refused which I thought it was weird because he eats bananas in a jar on a daily basis. Well, I gave it a try again this week and he loved it. Yahoo! One "real" food item down. A million to go...

I have been one of those strict moms how says that they will NOT change the car seat forward facing until the baby is one year old. Conner knew that I was like this and didn't really agree with it, but he knew he wouldn't win. However, Saturday he came up to me with a puppy dog face begging me to let him turn it around. He convinced me that it would be so great and Nixon would just love it, so I agreed. Conner was so anxious to see how Nixon would react. We both thought he would get a kick out of sitting forward facing. Well, after driving for 5 minutes with him forward facing we were regretting it. I think since he could see us he just wanted us so he would whine the whole time. Oh and we stopped at a drive thru to get ice cream. Not a good idea! NO eating in the car if Nixon could see it...he won't let you! He has been better and I think he really enjoys viewing the world in a totally different way! haha
The first minute or two driving down the road was priceless. He had the funniest look on his face!

Then he warmed up a little...

Saturday Conner let me choose for us to do whatever I wanted to do. So I decided to do this.... It was a pretty good night! :)
Conner makes fun of this face and says every high school girl has to have their pictures like this. So...we went for it. :)

Nixon has been so much fun lately. But...He has also been a HUGE pill and cries A LOT lately. I am hoping it is because he is teething and that he is not going to make this be his new lifestyle. Oh please goodness no!!!
A few days ago we got back from the gym and he just had had enough. Nothing was making him happy. I put him down for bed and he still just cried which was unusual because he usually just goes right to sleep. I felt sad for him so I picked him up and bounced him on the exercise ball. I Have said before how he doesn't cuddle but this time I put my hand on his head and held it on my shoulder. Normally he'd refuse and start crying. But this time within seconds he had fallen asleep. It was an absolute first! I even had tears coming. I waited so quitely without any movement for about 40 minutes for Conner to get home from the store and getting gas so he could take a picture to document history. I was in heaven. That for sure will go down in the top 10 moments with Nixon thus far!! :)

Anyways, was have just been loving life and keeping super busy. We are all doing very well and can't wait for school to wrap so we have a little more down time!
Until next time with oodles and noodles of love!
