*4th of July*
Conner is quite fond of spending the 4th in Seattle so since we've been together (dating/married) we've spent all but one 4th of July in Seattle. We do the same thing each year, spend the day at the lake house, boating, and eating a delicious BBQ followed by great fireworks! Some of our good friends from USU just moved to Seattle, so they were able to come spend the day with us on the lake. It was really fun to see them!
Nixon loved the tube last year and this year he kept saying he wanted to ride the tube and jet ski, I guess it took him a little warming up to do! |
Tuesday, July 5th-
On this day we couldn't pass up the great weather and wanted to get back to the lake house. It was Rick's birthday so we hung around the house until lunch time so we could have lunch with him, and then we headed out to Lake Tapps.
SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! |
Poor "goggy", Nixon would never leave her alone! |
Airplanes are always flying close above their house which Nixon totally gets a kick out of each time! |
Wednesday, July 6th-
We spent the first part of our day in Downtown Seattle eating a delicious breakfast and then heading off to the aquarium. Nixon had such a good time running around seeing all the different fish! He was so excited when he finally came across Nemo, and he was MORE excited when he realized there were TWO Nemos!
After we spent our day in Seattle we decided with the hot 80 degree weather we couldn't resist ONE more day on the lake. We decided to just take a relaxing boat ride around the entire lake. It was a great day to spend our last day in Washington!
Thursday, July 7th-
We left for Utah around 11 AM and drove straight to SLC. Nixon took a 4.5 hour nap which we couldn't have been more thrilled about. The rest of the time he was entertained by movies & putting stickers on Daddy. Conner flew out of SLC to go to California with his dad and brother at 6 AM Friday morning so we were trying to get to SLC as soon as possible so Conner could get some sleep in before he took off....even if it was just an hour and 45 minutes! We had so much fun in Seattle as always and can't wait to go back again in the winter!
