Thanksgiving At The Beach

This year for Thanksgiving our friends (the Butlers') asked if we wanted to go on a short weekend trip to Port Aransas. We couldn't turn that down so we packed up and headed to the beach for our Thanksgiving holiday. Nixon absolutely LOVED the beach! He had been before in California, but this time he was so much more brave...and the weather was a lot nicer which probably made a difference as well. One of the days Conner was at the beach house with Addie and I was at the beach sitting in a lawn chair for over 5 hours and Nixon never complained once. I joked that the beach was the best babysitter I could get! He loved it all!! Addie was a bit more difficult. If you put her down then she would end up with a mouth full of sand, sand in her eyes, and every where else. She did get in the water with her Daddy which she thought was pretty fun! It was very different being away from family on Thanksgiving as well as spending the holiday in hot weather AT the beach....but all together we had a great mini vacation!!!
