I have been horrible (like always) at finding time to update my blog. I have so much to post so beware that my "coming soon" post may be quite large (like always)!!!
Anyways, my real reason for this post is to advertise for my mom! She to is also into this blogging world and always has very cute posts! The poor woman feels like she isn't getting any followers due to lack of comments. But I assure you that is not the case. I am a follower to MANY and although I love reading about their lives I am horrible at leaving comments (I'll do better!). So mother, just because there aren't many comments doesn't mean there isn't followers. However, we all know how much we LOVE to see our comment numbers change from 0, to 1, and maybe even 2 or 3! My mom had to make a new blog because she had problems with her last, so her is the url for her new blog. Check it out AND don't forget to comment! ;) Love ya all!!!

I feel FULL of....
THE SPIRIT.
In only a couple of short days my little family will be going inside this temple to be sealed for time and all eternity! I feel an incredible feeling of warmth and peace just thinking about it and discussing the day through text (I'm at work) with my mom. You have NO idea how excited I am! It brings tears to my eyes...but then I have to suck them back up because...I'm at work! mmmm....it feels so good doing what I know to be right!!!

Catching up on life
We are loving being up in Logan. Conner got a job reffing intermural sports on campus. Nixon and I used that as an excuse to go watch him at the soccer and football games until it got too cold. ![]()
Our house is right by the golf course, so one day when I got home from work the boys were down at the driving range and I decided to join them! ![]()

Nixon turned 6 months on September 28th. Every mommy says it but I honestly have no idea how time goes so fast! We love that little guy to pieces. He has been the greatest baby, so much so that it makes me worried to have another one! Somethings Nixon is doing at 6 months is....
sitting very well, laughing A LOT, eating solids and LOTS of it, he has two of his bottom teeth coming in, he is spoiled rotten! Everytime I walk out of the room he cries, if I walk into the room he is in he cries, if I'm not holding him...he cries!! At times it makes me happy he is such a mommies boy, but at the same time I need a break once in awhile as well! I know he doesn't realize he is saying MAMA but that is his new thing lately...mamamamama. Conner keeps trying dadadada but he won't have any of it! haha. We tried to give him his big boy *six month* binki but right when we put it in his mouth he just spits it right out. I'm not exactly sure why because the nipple is bigger so you would think it would be alot easier to suck on. Oh well I guess, I think we'll just keep trying with the cool blue binki and keep using his ever so lovely dragon fly binki. I think if he knew how much cooler the 6 month binki was he'd never suck on the dragon fly again! :)![]()

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!
Today is my parents anniversary! Happy anniversary ma and pa! Another anniversary is today as well ....It's OURS!!! A year ago today is the day we said the two little words "I do". It really feels like we have been married a heck of a lot longer than that. I am so in love with my husband and I'm so thankful that I get to wake up to his smelly breath each and every morning. He is my world! He is my best friend! and in a few short weeks he will be my ETERNAL companion!!!
Since our anniversary is on a Sunday Conner put together a few little suprises yesterday for us. Yesterday afternoon he suprised me with a massage. I LOVE getting a massage! This was my third, and the other two I had them done with Conner. So at the beginning I was nervous doing it alone but it ended up being great! Ooohhh it felt so-o good! After the massage we got ready for my next suprise which ended up being dinner at the very nice steak restuarant here is Logan, Hamiltons. A funny thing happened there. When we were getting ready to leave we both put our cloth napkins on top of the table. Doesn't everyone? Well does everyone's cloth napkins start on fire as well? Ours did! We spaced the fact that there were candels on the table and sat our napkins right on top. Yep...there were big flames! A moment to remember I guess! ;) After dinner Conner and I drove to a look-out view of Bear Lake. It is still so pretty even in October. But- it was FREEZING! Conner said he knew it would be cold and I love to cuddle...so if we went somewhere cold it would lead to cuddling. Good thinking on his part. He had me grab a blanket out of the trunk and to my suprise I had a little gift hidden in there. He is such a sweetie!
Today was my day for suprises. He woke up to a Nixon having a piece of paper in his hand which ended up being the beginning to his scavanger hunt which lead to a gift at the end. Later in the day I hid papers in the house with highlights of each month we've been married. It was a great anniversary and I look forward to many more down the road. ![]()

Our cute little 6 month old tag along. Wait...what? Six months? And we've been married for 12 months? How does that work?! hahaWe had many confused faces when we told people it was our 1st anniversary. That would immediately follow with "How old is your baby?" We just do things backwards right?! ;)

A Happy Realization
Last night at worked I had nothing to study for and I was all blogged out. To help time go by I decided I would listen to the relief society broadcast. Each of the talks made me happy, but when I listened to the choir sing As Sisters in Zion my heart was SO warm and filled with joy and gratitude. I had the feeling like I would as if I were in fast and testimony meeting with a pounding in my heart telling me to walk up to the stand. I was truly SO happy. I was so happy because I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the true church! I know without a doubt that I do belong to the true church. I know that Heavenly Father has BLESSED me with the challenges in my life to make me a better person. A better wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. I LOVE this gospel and I love the happiness that I feel when I am in tuned with the spirit. I am SO thankful to be a daughter of God!!!

I Did It!!!
For those of you who don't know my major is Early Childhood Education. I am not yet in the program, but I have been able to apply for over a year now but due to procrastination it hasn't gotten done. I finally came to a fork in the road where I either had to apply ASAP or else I would no longer have any classes to take without being in the program. The ONE thing holding me back was my **** math ACT score. The program requires a 18 and I got a 17. I finally built up to courage to take it (I HATE MATH) and guess what score I got!!! 17! Yep that's right...same score as before. This apparently got me NO WHERE! The bad thing about this is you are not allowed to take the ACT until 60 days after you first took it. This would make it so I would not be able to apply for the program by the deadline of Oct 1. After a LONG, confusing, frustrating, and pricey process, I was told that I could take the Praxis Test which would then allow me to apply by Oct 1. I have been studying for this test ALL week long. I went into the testing center at 1:30 and after saying a little prayer I was confident and ready to begin.
After I finished the 2 hour test I was so incredibly anxious to see my score. I couldn't remember the passing score, but I was feeling pretty dang good about it and thought I passed for sure. I started walking (more like an old people mall walk) to the education building ready to turn in my application for the program. It was then that I remembered the conversation I had with my advisor only a few days previous about the passing score. She told me if you take the written math test then the passing score is 173, the computerized passing score is 310. I took the computerized test and the score that I had just received was...177!
At that moment I started shaking, feeling weak in the knees, and tears started breaking through the surface. I decided to take the elevator to the third floor this time just in case I went into cardiac arrest. I did not want to be tumbling down the stairs.
I walked into my advisor's office with a very sad puppy face (I knew she liked puppies so I thought it might make her feel extra sorry for me) I told her I got a 177 and reminded her that she had told me 310 was passing. I told her I didn't understand how that was possible because I felt really good about the test. She went out of the room to talk to "the boss". Meanwhile, I was just freaking out (underneath my skin of course) PRAYING that there was a mistake in the passing score. She came in with a smile on her face and the tears started coming back but this time tears that you would receive prancing across the meadow with a slice of pie in your hand. I didn't want her to see those tears so I was tough and held them back! We filled out the application and when I left her office I called my mom. That is when I really started crying. My voice was cracky on the phone and my mom kept saying..What? what? Obviously she didn't know I was being attacked by my joyful emotions!
Anyways to make a LONG story short...I finally passed the stinkin test and applied for the eled program!!! Life is good!
ps. Will someone please train my husband because when I called to tell him that I was ready for him to pick me up he never once asked how it went. :( is that a normal guy thing?
