SEVEN MONTHS!!!

Really Addie?! REALLY? Why do you keep growing? Go ahead and stop it already! Before I know it you are going to be a mini teenage ME who drives me bonkers like I did my mom. But really, How can it even be possible that you are SEVEN months old? I am pretty sure you were just born....yesterday. In fact, Nixon will some times ask me, "When is Addie going to be born?". I think he must not quite get it...what do you think? Anyways, I love you to death. So much so that sometimes I have to catch myself before I squeeze you too tight or bite your little cheeky too hard. Is that weird? I love your cheeks and just want to eat you up. Literally. But in all seriousness (even though I was being serious before too) you are such a sweet, precious, loving, gorgeous little baby. We all love you so so much. Just looking at you makes me have the biggest smile and the best feeling in the world. And I should tell you, you have yourself wrapped around your Daddy's finger. Yep, I am absolutely positive about that. I have proof. When Nixon was a baby and we tried to get him to sleep through the night or during naps, we would let him cry it out. Well, when you cry for more than 2 minutes...Daddy can not take it any longer and always comes to your rescue. Told ya, he is totally nuts for his baby girl! It goes both ways too, you light up when you see your Daddy! And Nixon, you love him a lot too! You LOVE to watch him and always seem so fascinated in what he is doing. You can sit on the floor for a long time watching Nixon play cars along side you. As for me, you are starting to want me to hold you vs. anyone else. You will whine and fuss sometimes until you are in my arms. I kinda like it! For now anyways.... Happy seven month old birthday baby girl!!!! We are SO happy to have you in our family. You definitely fit in. I LOVE YOU!!!! -Love Mommy

Rescued By Christ

I ran across a Mormon Message that I really enjoyed and after I saw it I just wrote down the words that came to me, I also watched a Mormon Message by President Uchtdorf about sharing your beliefs through blogging and texting...So, because of that I decided to share what I wrote down! I will also put the link to the Mormon Message called Rescued By Christ

Christ died for US. He suffered for US, for ME!!! Because of his sufferings, I am who I am and where I am today. I am a daughter, sister, wife, and mother. Of course I have times where I am not exactly on the straight and narrow, but I know that Christ will never shut me down. I know that when I need him most, he is there for me. I also know that sometimes if I expect a prayer to be answered in a certain way, and things don't fall into place how I want them...that does not mean that He is not there for me. Sometimes it is hard to see, but I know he has a plan for me. I know that he loves me. I know he wants what is best for me and for my family. Life may not all be peaches and cream, but I know things happen the way that they do for a reason. Christ won't let me down. He is my rescuer and he will be with me until the end. He will be with me through the hard times if only I put my faith and trust in him, I know he will lead me through. I know that he lives. I know that when I am at my happiest point, it is because I am living my life according to Thee. I want my kids to always know that Christ loves us unconditionally. He died for us so that we can return to live with him again someday. He died for us so that we can be an eternal family. It is hard to put into words how much I love my kids and my husband. They are my life! It is comforting to know that Christ feels the same way, and some! He loves all of us. He loves us through good and bad. We make mistakes, but He believes in us and believes that we can make it through those hard times. He doesn't want to see us suffer or see us hurt. But I believe He knows just what we need in our lives to make us stronger. He knows what trials we need to overcome to strengthen our faith. If we lean on Him, even when times are tough, he will see us through!

Friends

My experience in Texas definitely would NOT be the same if I didn't have the awesome friends that I do. From my very first day at church these two ladies have been so great. I see or talk to them almost everyday. It isn't easy moving away from family, but because of these guys I have made it through and really enjoy being here!

BESTIES

Nixon LOVES Lexi!! In fact, Lexi just left on a trip to see her Grandma in Oregon yesterday and Nixon has been in depression! He was sad she was not at soccer yesterday, that he couldn't play with her, and most of all he was SO heart broken that she wasn't at school today. Before we took him to school he kept crying saying he missed Lexi. Conner picked him up from school and took him to run errands today, Conner told me how Nixon would say over and over that he misses her. :( I think this boy found love! haha

First Soccer Practice

So when we moved to Texas back in June, I made the mistake of telling Nixon we were going to sign him up for soccer. He would ask for a long time almost every day if it was time to play soccer yet. Well, he waited a LONG time in 3-yr-old days, but the time has finally come! He had his first practice on the 12th and did such a great job! I didn't get too many pictures of him playing because I was busy recording the action. ;)

Six Month Doc Appointment

Addie had her 6 month appointment with Dr Addy. We also surprised Nixon was a shot as well. We decided to get a flu shot for him. When the nurse came in with the shots Nixon said, "Are you going to shot me too?" At this point he didn't know, and the nurse didn't know what to say...So I told him that he was going to have one shot but Addie was going to have FIVE so he needed to go first and show her that it is okay and how to be tough. He was not happy, but he quickly recovered as soon as he got not one, but two suckers! Addie was a champ too, it won't ever be easy watching your babies get shots, but I guess it is something that I know is best for them so they a few seconds of pain is better than taking the risk in a serious illness!

So crawl already!!!

Not sure what is stopping her because she is SO close, but so far, this is as close to the crawling thing as she gets. As far as the positioning thing goes anyways...she still manages to get where she wants to go! She also does a serious plank position. That girl has got to have some killer abs under that chubby belly!
